曾昭文对饮食业拥有雄心壮志。为了拓阔视野,他只身远赴英国。期间,他一边继续担任中菜大厨,一边兼做饮食顾问,也曾在当地电视台和报刊讲授中菜,其个人事业由此到达另一高峰。在欧洲八年,他吸收了西方烹调菜肴的众多独特技巧,融会贯通,学会利用当地食材和酱汁搭配变化,并转变为适合中菜使用的酱汁和菜肴。他许多独特的招牌菜都是因欧洲之行而获得灵感的。
