本書為香港中文大學文物館與藝術系合辦展覽之同名圖錄，一函三冊，分別以蒼狼白鹿（古代歐亞草原金器）、赤猊青驄（高原金器）及紫鳳金龍（中原金器）為主題，共收夢蝶軒藏中國古代金飾300件/組，探討公元前1500年至公元1700年間黃金在中原及其邊沿地域不同文化、社會和時代裡的不同意義和發展。蘇芳淑主編，特邀專家學者林梅村、Pieter Meyers、陳淩、霍巍、揚之水、郭心怡撰著專文6 篇。全部展品附詳細說明文字，彩色精印。另附地圖、年表、大事表及主要參考書目，為研究及欣賞中國古代金飾不可或缺之精美圖錄。

This catalogue is published in conjunction with the exhibition Radiant Legacy: Ancient Chinese Gold from the Mengdiexuan Collection jointly organized by the Art Museum and the Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The catalogue features about 300 ancient Eurasian and Chinese gold artifacts dating from ca.1500 BCE to 1700 CE in three volumes, namely, Gold in the Eurasian Steppes, Gold in the High Plateau and Gold in China. Edited by Jenny F. So, the catalogue includes 6 introductory essays contributed by Lin Meicun, Pieter Meyers, Chen Ling, Huo Wei, Yang Zhishui and Elaine Kwok. All the artifacts are fully illustrated with colour plates and detailed entries. In addition are maps, timelines, chronologies and selected bibliographies. This is an indispensable catalogue for the study and appreciation of ancient Chinese gold ornaments.

内容概要

蘇芳淑（Jenny F. So）教授於美國哈佛大學獲哲學博士學位，主修中國藝術史。其後於美國佛利爾美術館工作，曾策劃多個有關中國古代藝術的展覽及參與多項相關研究。2001年起於香港中文大學藝術系任教，主要教授青銅器史、玉器史及藝術史學方法等專題，亦擔任碩士及博士研究生指導老師。於2013年起，兼任香港中文大學中國文化研究所文物館館長。近年研究包括史前、青銅時代的藝術及考古等項目。
