前言

　　彰显以人为本的素质教育是国家教育部颁布的《中学生英语课程标准》的显著特色。而以人为本的素质教育在英语课程教学中的基本体现之一就是要培养学生具有扎实的语言运用能力，即具备听、说、读、写、翻译、应考英语等方面的基本能力，并在此基础上开发为智力，形成于智能。　　近些年来，国际经济合作与发展组织（Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development）为了选拔好确实有能力的语言人才，（以便于在纷繁的国际事务和日常活动中准确进行语言交流，避免因语言互译失真造成的障碍和损失）在共同协商后确认的目前世界上最具有权威性的“国际学生学习评估大纲”（Programme for International Student Assessment）中，也十分重视被选人才在语言方面的上述能力、智力和智能。　　编撰这本《中考英语小题狂做？首字母填空&任务型阅读》，其目的在于，这两种题型的习题对学生而言尽管存在着一定难度，是应试过程中常感到较为棘手、失分较多的题目，但却更有益于学生在训练过程中融会贯通、综合运用所学的英语知识，能切实有效地促进学生英语能力、智力和智能的提升，实为应运而生矣。　　为此，在选撷资料时，编者突出强调了学生的主动体验性和英语实验性。在要求限时完成的练习题中，注重了输入的语言信息（Language put-in）的质和量——既考虑到与学生现有的教材和语言水平相同步，也考虑到学生在练习过程中英语能力的拓展与延伸。　　在话题（topic）的安排上，编者遵循了深入浅出、兴趣广泛、知识宽博、与时俱进的原则。所涉及的话题有：人物、动物、生理心理健康教育、传统文化习俗、当今热门时事、人类环境保护、现代科普知识等方面的实例。目录中还标明了每篇话题的关键词（key words），以便学校师生进行有针对性的训练。　　本书结构清晰，共分为四章。第一、二两章分别以“任务型阅读”和“首字母填空”的解题方法为主线，深入细致地解析这两种题型命题的特点，涉及的知识、解题的方法和应具备的能力。在每章开头，配有“水平测试”部分，让学生先进行自我评估，了解自己的真实水平；在每章后面还配有10篇“牛刀小试”，供学生进一步了解、熟悉该题型的解法。第三章为“实战演练篇”，共有43个单元（Unit）。第四章为“能力提升篇”，共有27个单元（Unit）。三、四两章中的每个单元都安排了一篇“任务型阅读”和一篇“首字母填空”，通常根据篇幅长短要求学生在15~20分钟之内完成。　　编者认为学生的应试能力是学生个人综合素质培养过程中不可忽视的一个方面。本书精选的英语能力训练题具有很好的时效性、典型性、针对性，内容设置与中考同步，能帮助考生把握中考脉搏，提高应试能力，有利于考生厚积薄发，自信应战，战而胜之，考出理想的好成绩！　　为此，我们广泛调研，认真听取各方建议，邀请了一批经验丰富的一线名师参与了本书的编写工作，同时，我们也重视试题的层次性，合理调控综合程度，实现多角度多层次的考查。　　这本《中考英语小题狂做？首字母填空&任务型阅读》的成功靠的是团队的力量，借此机会，我们向所有参与编写的老师们表示衷心的感谢！同时也预祝选用我们教材的老师和同学们不断成功！　　恩波教育研究中心
