Eplsodes in Traditional Chinese Medicine

This book is one in a series on traditional Chinese culture. In

the history of its struggle with Nature for existence, China has

made many outstanding achievements in agriculture, medicine

and pharmacology through the course of its struggle against

Nature and the elements. Chinese medicine and pharmacology,

in particular, have advanced and thrived according to traditional

ways of thinking quite different from the rest of the world. The

ancient Taoist and Confucian schools of thought produced many

medical scientists and pharmacoiogists of high repute and

excellent skills capable of seeing beyond the shaman rituals and
