前言

China is the largest and ancient agricultural country in the world and its several thousand years of majestic farming civilization have made immortal contributions to the formal multiplying and the development of the Chinese nation. Science and technology innovation has played an important role in this development. Historical data show that China' s scientific and technological level before the Ming Dynasty had for a long time maintained an advanced level in the world. Of all the 300 major inventions and scientific and technological achievements recorded at that time, more than 170 were made in China, many of them related to agriculture. China's traditional agricultural techniques highlighted by intensive cultivation have always been praised by scientists in the world and shine in brilliance even today. As pointed out by noted American scholar N.E. Borlaug. the practice of intercropping and multiple cropping in line with local conditions in China is one of the amazing evolutions already known to the world.

Science and technology primary productive forces.
