大学英语晚听教程（下册）

作者简介

《大学英语晚听教程(下册)》是根据《大学英语课程教学要求》、新考纲及学生的实际情况而编写的听力训练教程。《大学英语晚听教程(下册)》的练习部分主要以星期为单位来编排，周一到周四，每天的练习形式和训练重点有所不同，周而复始，力求让学生循序渐进地提高听力水平。《大学英语晚听教程(下册)》由20个单元组成，每个单元分为4个部分：第一部分（Monday）：8个短对话和2个长对话。本部分的录音会播放两遍，第一遍，学生完成题目：第二遍，自我检查。第二部分（Tuesday）:3篇短文。本部分的录音会播放两遍，第一遍，学生完成题目；第二遍，自我检查。

第三部分（Wednesday）：2篇复合式听写。每篇短文读三遍，第一遍，常速，学生理解大意；第二遍，要求填写的句子后有停顿，学生写答案；第三遍，常速，检查答案。

第四部分（Thursday）：整套模拟试题。（按四级考试形式播放）

《大学英语晚听教程(下册)》主要供学生在课外自检自测，着力培养学生的自主学习能力。

　　In a relatively short span of twenty-five years, there has been an incredible evolution inthe size and capabilities of computers. Today, computers smaller than the tips of yourfingernail have the same capacities as the room-sized machines of twenty five years ago. Thefirst computers were developed around 1945. They were so large that they required specialair-conditioned rooms. About twenty years later, in the 1960s, desk-sized computers weredeveloped. This represented an enormous advance. Before the end of that same decade,however, the third generation of computers, which used simple integrated circuits and whichwere even smaller and faster, had appeared. In 1971, the first microprocessor, less than onesquare centimeter in size, was developed.
